Her most prominent characters include Police Academy Big Trouble from Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 1980s. It was a critical and commercial hit and was awarded it the Golden Palm and Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. Born in Sweden, Skane had a career as a fashion model prior to her acting career. Her crowning was Miss Sweden. Then she moved to the US, and began appearing in multiple movies playing minor parts. Her first credit role was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she appeared as the role of a Venusian guard. In the following year, she won the Golden Globe award in the most promising category for a newcomer after playing in the film Blood Alley.
